Sodium Butyrate provides butyric acid, a short-chain fatty acid, bound to sodium. Two capsules provide 1,200 mg of butyric acid and 313 mg of sodium, which buffers the natural pH of the butyric acid. The capsule shell is hypromellose, with medium chain triglycerides (MCT) inside. If you want to avoid the extra sodium, Cal/Mag Butyrate uses calcium and magnesium instead. The pack holds 100 capsules, a 50-day supply at two capsules a day.
